Summer Holidays
Holidays in early childhood are a source of many vivid memories, just because there were so many new places, people and events packed into a very short space of time.
Most of our summer holidays as children were spent in North Wales and in one place but it’s hard to distinguish one from another by memories alone. So the account of visits we made to Efail Bach (“The Little Smithy”) are a composite of at least four separate holidays.
The single trip to Cornwall in the early 50s yielded loads of memories; it’s just been a matter of assembling them into something approaching the right order.
